You’re Perfect And Could Use A Little Improvement

Off

Certainly something to think about. For years I didn’t think of myself as being worthy. Instead I focussed on things in me, in my character that made me not good enough. I worked hard at keeping these thoughts and feelings hidden, sometimes even from myself.

Going through a burnout taught me to accept myself for who I am . Eventually I didn’t just accept myself, I actually came to like myself, enjoyed spending time alone with just me and myself for company. I was perfect just the way I was. As if I was now living on the other side of the extreme which had unworthiness on other end.

It took me a while to realize that though I am perfect as I am, there in fact is always room for improvement, for learning new things about myself.

Good relations with my family and honest loving friends are of great help in this. As is having found a great coach. Should I become stuck in the “I’m perfect just as I am” groove, they are there to point out where there is still room for a improvement. I’m very lucky to have them.

Your turn! Where could you still use a little improvement? Who are the people who help you remember – in a loving way – that you can still work on yourself?
