When is it time for you to take a break?

Right! What kind of question is that? As if you don’t know when it’s time for you to take a break! Of course you do. Somewhere deep inside, you know exactly when it’s time for you to take a break. Not the ‘Have A Break. Have a KitKat’ kind. A real break! But do you take it? Probably not.
You think things like: “If only I can get through this week” or “I don’t have time for a break; there’s too much to do” or “I just need to tough it out” or “I just had a break; I can’t just take another one”.
Do any of these sound familiar? Are you saying any or all of these things to yourself for weeks on end?
Take them as a SURE SIGN YOU NEED TO STEP AWAY AND TAKE A BREAK.
Other signs you need to take a break:
- You feel stressed even before you get out of bed
- You have a hard time falling asleep because you keep going over things you need to do tomorrow
- You have a hard time falling asleep because you keep thinking about the things that didn’t get done
- You can’t stay on top of your to-do-list
- You’re regularly unreasonable with family, friends and colleagues
- You can’t sit still and relax
- You have a hard time delegating, thinking things will fail if you don’t do them yourself
- Everything seems big, overwhelming, hard, ….
- You dream of a small accident to happen. Nothing serious, but just enough to lie you up in a hospital bed for a couple of weeks. Oh, the sleep you’ll get!
- You feel bad about taking, needing a break
If, when any or all of these sound familiar to you, YOU NEED TO STEP AWAY AND TAKE A BREAK.
What will your break be? And when will you take it?
As always ….
Go dare greatly
