Positivity Goes A Long Way When You Want To Have More Fun

When people ask me how I am doing as an answer they always get “I’m doing good” or even “I’m doing great”. That’s not just a polite answer on my part, I really mean it.

I firmly believe I can choose my mood! Click To Tweet

I am a firm believer in the principle of being able to choose what mood I am in. As I mentioned yesterday: “Circumstances and situations in and of themselves are neutral. It’s the way we think about them that gives them their meaning.”

Of course it happens to me too that I wake up not feeling on top of my game, perhaps even dreading the day ahead. However, I’m always able to think of at least one thing that will happen that day that will make it worth my while to get up anyway. To think of something that will bring a smile to my face. To find something, even the tiniest thing, which will be good about that day.

There is no joy in looking at things from the dark side! Click To Tweet

Friends who have a somewhat different approach to life tend to accuse me of always looking at the bright side of things, of being too optimistic. My comeback to them is always that life is so much more fun this way! Looking at things from the dark side only brings me down! There is no joy in that.

That’s not to say I am blind to any difficulties, troubles, problems, or whatever else might come my way. I just choose to face them with a different attitude!

HOW ABOUT YOU? How do you make sure your day is going to be a good one? What choices do you make about your mind set? Will you be coming from the dark side or are you more likely to have a sunny disposition?
