When you’re serious about doing things different in your over-stressed life

You probably have many things that can cause stress in your life. Expected to be available all the time may very well be one of them.

With a mobile phone in your pocket that is more than 30 times powerful than the first personal computer Apple ever put on the market, for many it is a challenge to disconnect from email, social media, news sites and whatever else can be found on the internet.

FOMO – the fear of missing out – can be overwhelming. What if a client has an urgent question? What if an email comes in that needs to be acted upon? What if someone needs to reach you?

It’s not just you; there are the others too.

Your boss who wants to be able to contact you at all hours. Your clients expect you to be on call 24/7.

Your mom asks what you were doing because you didn’t immediately answered the phone.

Friends are miffed when you don’t instantly respond to their latest text message or liked their Instagram update.

When you’re serious about reducing your stress in your life, you have to disconnect from all this right now.

When you have decided to take time to take your stress outside, especially. (Missed my post on why you should do that? You can read it here)

Disconnect at least for a while. Long enough to gain the mental space to take a good look at everything that is causing you stress.

Because only when you have identified what is causing you stress, can you start de-stressing your life.

As always ….

Go dare greatly

P.S. You’d love to truly disconnect for a while? Not just by turning of your phone, but by stepping away from everything? By creating some distance between you and your over-stressed life in order to literally look at it from a different perspective? Join me on a Dare Greatly Experience. There is one for every season. Hiking in spring through autumn. Walking, snow shoeing and skiing in Winter. You can find out more about them by clicking HERE
